On 15 March 2021, the 34th ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) Chairs’ Meeting was virtually held with the participation of the leaders of ASEAN capital market regulators, and representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Sustainable Finance Institute Asia (SFIA).
SSC issues a notice guiding 02 Stock Exchanges and Vietnam Securities Depository Center on transferring listed stocks from Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange to Hanoi Stock Exchange
On March 3, 2021, with the approval of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the State Securities Commission (SSC) issued an instruction notice guiding the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the Hanoi Stock Exchange, and the Vietnam Securities Depository Center on the transfer of listed stocks from Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange to Hanoi Stock Exchange.
SSC launches the Handbook on “How-to Issue Guide for Green Bonds, Social Bonds and Sustainability Bonds”
Hanoi, Vietnam, April 12, 2021— The State Securities Commission (SSC) introduced the Handbook on “How-to Issue Guide for Green Bonds, Social Bonds and Sustainability Bonds”. Green, Social, and Sustainability bonds are meant to raising private sector finance for projects with environmental and social benefits. These are considered as innovative financing tools to mobilize financing from the private sector to scale up and achieve national climate plans, support the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.
The 9th bilateral meeting between the SSC and the LSCO
On the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding dated 19 August 2011 and the Minutes of the 8th bilateral meeting dated 18 November 2019, on 28 January 2021, the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (the SSC) and the Lao Securities Commission Office (the LSCO) organized the virtual 9th bilateral meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Saysamone Chanthachack, Secretary-General of the LSCO and Mr. Tran Van Dzung, Chairman of the SSC and attended by the delegations of both parties.
The State Securities Commission presented the Certificate of Merit to the Chief Representative of the Korea Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) Representative Office in Vietnam
On February 2, 2021, the State Securities Commission held a ceremony hosted by the Chairman of the SSC to honor and present the Certificate of Merit to Mr. Lee Hae Song, Chief Representative of Representative Office of Korea Financial Supervision Service (FSS) to recognize his contribution to the development of Vietnam's securities market. The ceremony is attended by the leaders of the SSC’s Departments, Representatives of the FSS’s Rep Office, the Embassy of Korea, and leaders of Korean securities companies operating in Vietnam.
